Tursack Printing wants to make sure your projects are done right. With this philosophy in mind, we've put in place strict quality controls that set us apart from the rest of the printing community. When you hand your projects or your client's work to us, you can be assured that every measure is taken to maintain the quality that you deserve.

Customer Service Representatives (CSRs), Planners, Sales People, and Production Staff attend daily morning and afternoon production meetings to proactively discuss upcoming and current jobs. Our employee incentive program to reduce spoilage and mistakes allows employees to recognize their responsibility in making sure the job gets done right. Every time.

From the moment a job enters the shop, the quality control process begins. An extensive prepress/electronics department checklist is completed from the beginning stages of your file's arrival until the finishing stages with your final approval of a piece before the plating process. Tursack's prepress department pays careful attention to every detail, including making sure fonts are not missing from your files, all photos are clear and with high resolution, colors are in the proper format, the piece backs up properly, etc. At this stage, our prepress personnel compare the information found in each file with the respective job jacket, which includes customer provided job details and, if applicable, instructions regarding corporate standards. Any unresolved questions or discrepancies are referred to the relevant CSR and/or planner before the job continues through production.

As mentioned under our prepress tab in the capabilities section, plates are inspected for content and quality after they have been processed by our Lotem Platesetter. Serving as an additional check, plates then move to Quality Control (QC) for a second inspection before printing. Tursack Printing is fortunate to have a separate QC department that serves as that crucial extra set of eyes before your job heads to the presses.

On the pressroom floor, every pressman must receive a supervisor's signature on your job before it runs, ensuring that an additional individual has made sure color is correct, registration is in-line, etc. Printed sheets are continually pulled by our pressmen throughout an entire run to make sure the quality standards remain high and consistent. State-of-the-art computerized quality control systems and densitometry are utilized to ensure sheet to sheet and job to job consistency on press. Exact color matches, regardless of paper stock or any other variable, is a very important aspect of our production quality.
Similar to the pressroom, quality control in the bindery begins with the commencement of the run. Each bindery operator, from a cutter to a folder to a stitcher, must receive a supervisor's signature before continuing a run. In addition, every operator spot checks your run frequently to guarantee the highest quality. To reinforce individual accountability, tags are created at each bindery step allowing supervisors to see counts and spoilage along the way along with the specific employee who completed each task.
Another arm of Tursack's Quality Control department can be found at the last critical stages before a job gets shipped. This branch is the sample pulling arm, which inspects a job with a fine toothcomb to catch anything before it gets packed up and delivered to its final destination. All materials coming in and leaving Tursack Printing are also quality checked before they are released or accepted.
